Die Arbeit ‚Sisyphos‘ befasst sich mit dem Moment indem das Glücksgefühl scheinbar abrupt verschwindet, dem Scheitern nach beharrlicher Arbeit. Immer kurz bevor Sisyphos den Gipfel erreichte, entglitt ihm der Felsblock, und er musste wieder von vorne anfangen. Kann Sisyphos wirklich glücklich sein wie es Albert Camus in seinem Essay beschreibt? Kann das Wälzen eines Blocks einen Menschen so sehr beschäftigen, dass er seine Existenzerfüllung darin findet? Die enorme Anstrengung und Konzentration verhindert eine Reflexion der Tätigkeit. Sisyphos stellte sich die Frage nach dem Sinn des Lebens nie. Er hatte immer eine Aufgabe. Das alleinige Streben nach dem Ziel erfüllte ihn – selbst wenn dieses unerreichbar blieb. Ja, Sisyphos war ohne Zweifel ein glücklicher Mensch.

‚Sisyphos‘ is about the moment in which happiness seems to disappear abruptly, the moment of failure after a persistent task. Whenever Sisyphos was on the verge of reaching the top of the hill the block of stone slipped from his hands. He had to start from the beginning. Is it really possible that Sisyphos is happy as Albert Camus describes him in his essay? The rolling of a boulder can absorb a man to such an extent that he can pursuit satisfaction. The enormous effort and concentration prevents him from reflecting on his task. Sisyphos never questioned the meaning of life. He always had a task. The ambition to attain the goal satisfied him even if it was out of reach. Yes, Sisyphos was a happy man indeed.
